DEWOLFE, Ronald Norman – age 85 of Brickton, Annapolis County passed away peacefully Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Carrington, NS, he was the son of the late Frank and Ella (Patterson) DeWolfe. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and was a great sports enthusiast following golf, football, hockey and soccer. He retired in 1990 from C.F.B. Greenwood. Ron was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church and as well was a member of the Fish and Game Association. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife Eleanor Mae (Kay) DeWolfe; son Derik (Margo) DeWolfe, Spa Springs and his cherished grand- daughters Lauren and Jenna DeWolfe, whom he loved very dearly; sisters Noreine Thorne, Port Royal and Norma (Eric) Frederick, Kingston as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by a sister Patty Cleveland, brother-in-law Laurie Cleveland and brother-in-law Stephen Thorne. By request, there was no visitation. A funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the Middleton Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Robin McCoombs officiating. A reception will follow the in the Family Life Centre of the Church. Interment will be in the Hillsburn Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Hillsburn Cemetery, Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or to the Middleton Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Surgical Staff and ICU Staff at the Valley Regional Hospital for their attentive and professional care that Ron received.
