Lieu de décès : Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Date de décès : 20 août 2016
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the death of Lincoln Young (42) on August 20, 2016, at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. The son of Adele (Kokoska) Young and Roger Young, Lincoln was born, raised and educated in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He attended universities in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mexico and Sweden focusing his studies and receiving degrees in International Commerce and Finance. He was an exceptional entrepreneur, valued by the business community where he managed many hotels, restaurants and commercial businesses. A man of great love and compassion, Lincoln has helped many in various communities. As of recent, when Fort McMurray was hit by wildfires, he was in charge of the “kitchens” and oversaw the feeding of 6000-8000 people a day in Lac La Biche. Lincoln valued the lessons learned from his grandparents, Mary and Bernie: of love of God, generosity, compassion for others and loyalty to friends. He will be greatly missed by his beloved, Chastity Caroline Sunday; (daughter- Heaven Leigh); his sister, Jacqueline (Young) Kopitoski; her husband, Jordan; their children, Payten and Parker and by uncles, aunts and cousins. Lincoln was predeceased by his grandparents, Bernard and Mary Kokoszka and cousin, Allison.
A “Celebration of Life” will take place in Alberta, and a Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney, on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Paul Murphy as Celebrant. Interment will take place with his beloved grandparents at Forrest Haven Cemetery. God Bless you, Lincoln. Rest in peace with “Nana and Pop”.
