After a wonderful 99 years, the family of Annie Hewak sadly announce her passing on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Orychock. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley MacDougall; sons, John (Rita), Walter Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lil Hewak, also her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary and Catherine Orychock. Predeceased by her husband, Walter Sr.; sisters, Nellie Litowksi, Agnes Ojolick, Charlotte Landry; brothers, Stanley, Tony and grandson, Glen Richardson. Friends and family to gather at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel with a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Fr. Roman Dusanowskyj officiating. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or MS Society.
