MUISE, Barbara Shirley (Surette), 82, Truro, and formerly of Yarmouth, NS, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19th, 2016 in Ivy Meadows, Beaverbank, NS. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late L. Stanley and Ada (Myrick) Surette. Barbara was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a daughter Lisa (Mike), Bible Hill; son Paul (Ronalda), Conception Bay South, NL; grandchildren Richard, Mallory, Emily, Zachary and great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Jordynn, all of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Muise; sister Katherine Stone; brother Lawrence Surette.
Arrangements were entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or funeral service by family request. Burial will take place at a later date. Special thanks to all that visited, called and sent cards during Mom’s illness and to the staff of CEHHA, Lilian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche and also Ivy Meadows for the great care during her stay over the past few months.
