It is with heavy hearts and lifetime of memories that we announce the sudden passing of our strong, amazing, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lorraine passed peacefully away in the presence of her husband John and daughter Donna at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the age of 77. Predeceased by her son Shane; grandson, John Jr; parents Mary Jane and Fred Billard; sisters Shirley and Edith and brother Wally. Leaving with loving memories her loving husband of 57 years John; her daughters, Donna Young (George Wallis) and Lorna (Tim) Hilts; "adopted" son, Dakota Wilkes; four grandsons, Rory, Sean, Arik and Mike two great-grandsons T.J. and Roman; cousins, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends from St. Joseph's, NL. Special thank you to her dearest and closet friends Andrea and Theresa, who were like angels to her. Appreciation and heartfelt thank you to the staff on the 4 South A and the Cancer Clinic staff for taking such good care of Lorraine. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 3-8 pm. Funeral service to take place on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Carnell's Memorial Chapel Freshwater Road at 2 pm with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
