COMEAU, Gerald John- age 82 of Marshalltown, Digby County passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Marshalltown, he was a son of the late Reginald and Elizabeth (Dugas) Comeau. Gerald worked for over 30 years with Marine Atlantic. He loved his family, his garden and his hunting camp and lifelong buddy’s. Gerald was dedicated to his community and loved sitting in his swing talking about the beauty that surrounded him. Gerald’s love for life and those he encountered while on his journey will always have a story to tell. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years the former Pauline Hall; his children, Roger Comeau (Christine Orde), Marshalltown; Scott (Robyn) Comeau, Bridgewater; Bonnie Daley (Jim Rousseau), Aylesford; Perry (Kelly) Comeau, Acaciaville, Digby Co; Tracy (Kelly) Comeau, Stewiacke; his sister, Geraldine (Clayton) VanTassell, St. Andrews, NB; his brothers, Floyd Comeau (Shirley Weir) and Peter Comeau, both of Marshalltown; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Norma Comeau and Leta Comeau. In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
