1933 – 2016
Kristine Dawson lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 30th. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 7th, 1933 in North Carleton, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ida Huestis of Summerside, PEI. Predeceased by husband and soul mate James Dawson (1995), son Reginald Dawson (2015) and infant son Ronald. Also, predeceased by brothers Ewan and Derwyn Huestis. Leaving behind, daughter Sharon (Jim) Paynter of Riverview, son David (Christine) Dawson of Riverview, daughter Kim Carson, John Carson and Cathy Hill also of Riverview. Also leaves behind grandchildren, Meagan, Chelsea, TJ, Paige, Brandy and Sierra. Also, great grandchildren Avery, Adyson and Nova. Mom attended college and moved to Moncton in 1953 to work at Eatons. While in Moncton she met husband Jim Dawson and married in 1954. Jim was a Navy man and the family moved all over Canada, finally settling in Riverview in 1976. Mom was an avid bowler and loved to play cards and scrabble. She also enjoyed many years at her trailer at Coles Island. Special thanks to Extra Mural for all their help and compassion. We could not have done it without them. Memorial donations in Kristine’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fair Haven Cemetery.
