It is with great sadness that we, the family of Mary Margaret MacLeod, age 74, announce her passing on October 31, 2016 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of Nora Mae (MacIsaac) and the late James MacLeod. In earlier years she worked at General Instruments and was dedicated to her faith. She is survived by her mother, Nora; sisters, Catherine, Rose, Helen and Marie; brothers, Andy, John and Gerard. Besides her father, she was also predeceased by brothers, William and Ray. Cremation has taken place and a chapel service to celebrate Mary Margaret’s life will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating.
