Death occurred at the Prince County Hospital on November 8th, 2016 of Harriet Grace (Allen) MacBurnie. Over the years, she took pleasure in completing many projects, often puzzling through quirks of design to produce household crafts and furnishings. Harriet had the certain strength of her convictions, but even those were tempered with humour and grounded by an insightful, practical eye. Survived by husband, Robert, son, Scott, siblings Myrna (Claude) MacCarville, Kenneth (Doris), Preston (Toby), and David (Arlene), and siblings-in-law Caroline Roy (Wayne), Jeff (Kathleen), Valerie Corbett (Herb), Irene Matheson (Randy), Christine Riddle, Ellen Spicer (Mark), Daniel (Elaine), Phillip (Trudy), David and Steven (Melanie). Harriet was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Grace, infant sibling, Dexter, and her parents-in-law, George and Barbara. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd, Summerside. By personal request there will be no funeral service held. Visitation hour for friends & family will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 3 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children's Wish Foundation or the PEI Humane Society.
