With deepest sorrow, the family of Jean Hunt of Bell Island, sadly announce her peaceful passing at the HSC, on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, having lived 84 beautiful years on this earth. Jean is now reunited with her devoted husband of 60 years, and love of her life, Granville Hunt (November 14th, 2008). Predeceased by her parents Weston and Violet Hunt, and all of her siblings Don, Jim, Freeman, Victor, Kirby, Laura, Marg and Joan. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories and heavy hearts are her six loving children Susan (Winston Neale), Stoney Creek, ON, Gary (Beverly), Bell Island, Glenn (Lisa), Paradise, Greer (Donna), St. Philips, Granville Jr. (Tasha) Bell Island and Darlene (Mark Warbrick), Nanaimo, BC. Also leaving to mourn with precious memories are her 20 cherished grandchildren, 20 treasured great-grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to her dedicated caregivers over the years, as well as to the nurses and doctors of the HSC Emergency and 4 South B Departments for their compassion and care during Jean's short stay. Jean was a beloved wife, a wonderful mother and a cherished grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family, and it is her legacy of love that will be remembered fondly and passed on by her children and grandchildren for generations to come. We take great comfort knowing that Jean is now happily where she wanted to be, in the arms of her loving husband, Gran. Although we will miss Mom/Nan terribly, her memory will live on forever in our hearts. "A Mother's love is a blessing - how we will miss her so." Flowers are greatly accepted, or donations may be made to St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, Attn; Rev. Lee, P.O. Box 610, Bell Island, NL, A0A4H0, "In Memory of Jean and Granville Hunt". Visitation will take place at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Quigleys Line, Bell Island, Friday, November 11th, 2016 from 12-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Saturday, November 12th, 2016 9 am - 12 pm. Funeral service to take place Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at 2 pm at St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, with reception to follow at the Church Hall.
