It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELSIE MAY CLARKE of Grand Bank announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on October 9th, 2016, at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Majors Walter (Verna) Clarke of Edmonton, AB, and Reuben (Melva) Clarke of Grand Bank; daughters, Marjorie Sheppard of Lewin’s Cove, and Helen (Kevin) Mauger of St. Catherine’s, ON; daughter-in-law Nancy Wilson of Grand Bank; brother, Merrill (Laura) Barnes of Montreal, QC; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of Percival Clarke; sons, baby Eli Clarke & Russell Clarke; daughter, Shirley Whalen; and grandson Steven Mauger.

The Funeral Service took place at The Salvation Army Citadel in Grand Bank on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery in Grand Bank.
