PENNEY, Mary Henrietta (Mae) – age 87 of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2016 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 8, 1929 in Yarmouth she was the daughter of the late William H. and Henrietta A. (LeBlanc) Roach. She married Leslie D. Penney in 1948, who passed away August 11, 1999. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts and going to BINGO. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Kendell, Wedgeport; Richard, Dayton; Arlene Pyne (Greg) Hebron; Janet Robicheau (Robert) Yarmouth; Aurelia Stephenson, U.K; Ellen Doucette (Ron) Calgary; Anthony (Tony) Yarmouth; her siblings, Clifford; William (Billy and Vertilee) Yarmouth; James (Julie) Dartmouth; Patrick, New Glasgow; and many grandchildren. Besides her parents Mary was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie, Winifred, Lorraine; brothers, Rodney, Seymour, John, Francis, Wilfred, Rodrick and Cecil. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Mary’s life was held Friday November 18, 2016 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Deacon Stephen Bourque officiated.
