Passed peacefully away in the presence of his adoring family, at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, Harold Aubrey Coish, age 85 years. God has called another angel home. With heavy hearts we said farewell to the man who has been an incredible source of support and guidance to our family, and a friend to many. May God grant him the peace and comfort of his everlasting care. Predeceased by his loving son David, and his sister Ruby (Ford). Left to remember his life and love, his best friend and wife of 58 years, Phyllis (nee Bursey), his children: Donna (Robert Matchim) and Della (Scott Richhart). Also leaving to mourn, the pride of his life, his three grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Kira Matchim, Noah Richhart, and Olivia Richhart. The Coish family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the family and friends who have supported us throughout Harold's illness and during this difficult time. Special thanks to Phyllis' niece Mildred (Millie) Rideout for her companionship and support. Special thanks as well to the staff at the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, staff at Family Practice (HSC), and the staff and volunteers at the Leonard A. Miller Centre (PCU). At Harold's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Harold's memory to VOWR (www.vowr.org) or a charity of one's choice.
