Card of Thanks
Ian A. MacNeil
We, the family of the late Ian A. MacNeil, wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our relatives, friends and neighbours for all the many acts of kindness and support that we received following our recent loss. To those who travelled to be with us, those who brought food, sent cards, monetary gifts, memorials, emails, flowers and those who attended the visitation and funeral, we are truly grateful for your generosity and kind deeds. Special thanks to Fr. Paul Abbass for his compassionate and insightful homily and to Fr. Dan MacInnis and Fr. Francis Cameron who concelebrated the Mass of Christian burial with Fr. Paul. To the pallbearers, nephews Sean MacNeil, Jonathon MacNeil, Lachlann MacNeil, Terrance MacNeil and close friends, Danny Doucette and Terrance O’Rielly, thank you for carrying our your task with such care and dignity. Special thanks to the readers, nieces Jessesar MacNeil Mitchell, Heather MacNeil and Sarah-Ann Musgrave and to sisters-in-law, Vida, Linda, Clara and Ann MacNeil for the bringing up of the offertory gifts and to the Eucharistic Ministers, Archie Gillis and Danita MacNeil. To Donnie Campbell, Paul Wukitsch and Janet Cameron, we thank you so much for participating in the celebration of Ian’s life by providing the music that was so much a part of him. Thank you to the residents of Talbot House for their assistance with parking and to Earl Musgrave for the preparation and closing of the gravesite and to our cousin, Joe MacMullin for the prompt installation of the grave marker. Thank you to the parishioners, community, friends and relatives who organized and provided food for the reception. It was heartwarming and greatly appreciated. Thank you to W.J. Dooley’s staff for your courtesy, kindness and professionalism.
