Bettie Horan (nee Stene)

It is with great sadness we announce Bettie’s passing on Tuesday December 6, 2016. Bettie was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Bruce in July, 2001. Bettie will be missed by her loving family, her two sons, Wayne (Denise) and their daughters, Rachel (Michael) Lavigne and Karen (James) Mantyka, Keith (Tammie) and their daughters, Chelsea and Kendall, and her many brothers and sisters. Family was one of the most important parts of Bettie’s life and she would drop anything to spend time with them. Her second family was the women of the Rebekah Lodge #6. This group of women supported each other and their community through donations to the Visual Eye Research. Her passions were traveling, knitting, working bingos, music and caring for others. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to Sask. Visual Eye Research c/o 202 Westpointe Estates, Regina Sask., S4Y 1A4. A memorial service will be held for Bettie at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at River Park Funeral Home, Pastor Tony Thompson officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Paula Hanson, Funeral Director.
