Passed peacefully away at her Kenny's Pond Retirement Residence, December 23, 2016, Marjorie Rose Freeman (nee Winsor), in her 100th year. Predeceased by parents Herbert (1962) and Bertha (nee Best) (1994), husband Francis (2001), brothers Frank (1940), Robert (2009), sister Violet (1996), and grandson Daniel (2003). Leaving with fond memories of her life, son Geoffrey (Mary); grandson Jamie; sister Ruth Sparkman; uncle Ralph Best; cousin Velma Davis; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed a special bond with young Ms. Holley Skinner for which the family is very grateful. Marjorie was a retired teacher of Vanier and Dawson Elementary Schools in St. John's. It was a profession which she enjoyed very much. Cremation has taken place. At Marjorie's request, a private funeral will take place at a later date.
