We the family of Ronald Francis Waterfield, 66 of Glace Bay, regret to announce his death on Thursday, January 5th , 2017, at The Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Christena (Nolan) Waterfield. Ronnie was a Steel Worker at C.H.T. Steel in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He was a long-time member of The Radio Club.
Dad was a loving father and grandfather with a Huge Heart, he always found the Good in everyone. He was a very Social man with strong Faith. He was loved by all and a friend to many. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Anne Mac Kinnon; son, Shawn (Crystal), Sydney and daughter, Tammy (Alex) Mc Gillivary - he was also a father to, Karl O’Connell; sister, Sheila (Roy) Mc Mullin; grandchildren, Kayla (JC), Michael, Dan-Alex, Madison and great granddaughter, Jayden. Ronnie was also a father to his special nieces and nephews, Robyn and Taylor (Tony) Waterfield and Leslie and Harold Caines. He is also survived by the mother of his children and dear friend, Muriel (Moo) Waterfield and special brother-in-law, Wayne Caume, who was always there when in need. Ronnie was predeceased by his two sisters, Dolly (infancy) and Brenda Caines; brothers, Clifford, Junior and Sam; nephew, Todd. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. in the TJ Tracey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, (902) 849-4199, with Father Daniel Boudreau Officiating.
