Passed peacefully away at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, on Saturday, January 7th, 2017, Vera Ellen Pittman nee Bennett, at the age of 84 years, surrounded by her loving family. Leaving to mourn her 4 sons, and 2 daughters: Rex (Marg), Bernice, Bernard (Elaine), Ernest (Beverly), Glenn (Mavina), and Lorrie (Melvin); 9 grandchildren: Damien (Trish), Darren (Jodie), Devin (Heather), Stephanie (Craig), Aaron (Haley), Sheldon, Kyran (Terri-lee), Stephen, and Alyssa; 8 great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Cade, Emily, Chloe, Cassie, Katie, Presley, and Jamie Lynn; her sister Marie C. (Kevin) Bennett, Brother Felix Bennett, brothers-in-law Peter Mackey, and Clifford (Jane) Pittman; sister-in-law Olive (Ronald) Bennett, and her furry friend Oreo. Mother was predeceased by her husband Rendell, daughter Leona; parents Rebecca & Freeman Bennett, her sisters Rose Bennett, Daisy Payne, Maude Bennett, and Linda Mackey. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Paul's, Anglican Church in St. Paul's, NL, on Monday, January 9th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and continuing on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the Funeral service will take place from on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at 2:00 pm, with Canon Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Church cemetery, in St. Paul's, NL.
