The family of the late Charles R. Piercey would like to thank everyone who offered comfort and support during the loss of a dear husband, father and grandfather. Family members and friends travelled from near and far to be with us during our time of loss and grief.

Thank you to all who sent condolences through flowers, cards, emails and phone calls and to those who sent donations in his memory to the Newfoundland and Labrador Lung Association.

Thank you to those who attended the family visitations and the tribute to his life at Barrett’s Funeral Home. Thank you to Reverend Ian March-MacCuish for officiating the funeral service; organist Brenda Hollett; soloist Shelly Neville; eulogy Daryl Wheeler (nephew); readers Sarah Stanley (granddaughter); Charles Clarke (grandson); Don Goode (brother-in-law) and urn bearer Daniel Abbott (grandson).

A special thank you to Maude (sister/aunt) and Don Goode for the ongoing support and comfort to us during this difficult time. Thank you to Dr. Manning, the staff at St. Clare’s Intensive Care Unit and Reverend Scott Parsons for their care and compassion. A personal thank you to Reverend Bill Bartlett for his many hospital visits with Charlie and the Piercey family.

It is impossible to mention everyone individually, but be assured that every act of support and kindness will never be forgotten. Charlie will be missed, but he will live forever in our memories.
