1926-2017
Delys Andrew died after a brief illness on January 9. Born June 21, 1926 in Charlottetown, PEI, she was the wife of the late Alan Andrew. Delys was a proud Islander who has been in Fredericton since 1966, and worked at the Fredericton Medical Clinic for 20 years. She loved spending her summers on PEI. She was actively involved in the Christ Church Cathedral, IODE, and her Bible Study Group. Delys is lovingly survived by her sons, David (Sandra) of San Francisco, Ian (Laura York) of Philadelphia, and Don Andrew (Susan) of Rothesay; grandchildren, Meghan, Lauren, Michael, and Erin; great grandchildren, Aiden and Kiera; cousin, Orville Diamond; niece, Kathy Nason, and nephew, Kevin Phillips. Delys also leaves behind her close friends, Pat, Wendy, Norma, and Eric. The family would like to thank her wonderful community of friends and the staff at St. Anne’s Court. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family celebration of life and burial will be held next summer on PEI.
