The death occurred suddenly, as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, January 19, 2017, of Scott Barry Dawson of Hampton, age 53 years. Beloved husband of Rosalie (Walsh) Dawson. Dear father of Darren (Katlyn), Justin (Dawn), Logan, Rebecca, Amy, and Matthew. Cherished son of Elaine (Wood) Dawson and the late Barry Dawson. Special nephew of Emily Rose and Janet Wood. Brother of Kim Clark (Keir), Tracey Nendarto (Tonny), half brother of Joline, Bobbie, and Robert Dawson. Adored Grampy of Kenzie, Noah, Jace, and Breanna. Brother-in- law of Donna Gallant (Ron), Kathie Marshall (Chris), Barry Walsh (Colleen O’Neill), Jeannie Carpenter (Gerard), Karen Harding (Bob), Celie Gallison (Chuck), and David Walsh. Greatly loved by his nieces and nephews who he loved to tease and joke with. Remembered as a devoted father and husband, kind neighbor, and dedicated community builder. His favorite places included attending all of his family’s sporting events over the years, and relaxing with family and friends at the cottage. He was known for his booming voice, and having the ability to "go to school with" everyone on the Island. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, with visitation on Monday, January 23rd, 2 - 4, 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass from St. Francis of Assisi, Cornwall, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Because of his community involvement, donations would be gratefully accepted to the Crapaud Community Hall or a charity of the donor’s choice.
