Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family after a short bout of cancer on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Health Sciences Complex. Gerry Drover aged 77 years. Predeceased by his former wife: Marcella Farrell. Leaving to mourn his loving wife: Rose MacDonald-Drover; sons: Bill (Jennifer) and Peter (Lisa); daughter: Diane Coombs (John Craig); step-daughter: Kerri MacDonald; grandchildren: Michael Drover, Mark Drover, Stephanie Drover and Dylan Drover, Sebastian Coombs, Scarlett Coombs and Xavier Coombs; brother: Bill (Marie); sister: Sandra French (Ted); close family and friends: Richard and Gertrude Roche, Lynn and Gregg Griffin, Harvey Hillier and Jennie Wade, as well as many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 5 South B of Health Sciences Complex for their compassionate care. Gerry was a longtime volunteer with the Gathering Place, where donations can be made in lieu of flowers. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 12-9 pm.
