Eunice Bochek of Swift Current, SK and formerly of Hodgeville passed away peacefully with her family at her side on February 6, 2017 at the Cypress Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years. Funeral mass was held on February 9th, 2017 at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Swift Current with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating. Internment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Her grandsons were honoured to act as pallbearers Michael Bochek, Brendon Bochek, Brodie Bochek, James Price, John Price and Tyson Stevens, and gift bearers were her granddaughters Sherry Mattson, Lisa Hawkins, Amanda Price and Brooke Larson. Ushers at the church were Jeff Hawkins and Derrick Mattson. Grandchildren Brendon Bochek and Sherry Mattson gave the eulogy. Michael Bochek and Blair Gehl shared the readings. Eunice was born on September 16, 1929 in Vanguard, SK to Joseph and Catherine (Hornung) Wilhelm. She grew up in the Vanguard district and attended school at Easby and Vanguard. She married Ernest Bochek on August 1, 1951. Together they farmed and raised their family. In 1986 they moved to Swift Current where she remained until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Catherine; a son Joseph on November 2, 1952; her husband Ernest on June 25, 1996; and her son-in-law Bill Price on March 22, 2005. She was also predeceased by all of her siblings and their spouses, brothers John and Mary, Peter, Joe and Ida, and Edwin and her sisters Mary and Anton Haubrich, Annie and Rob Rambow, and Katie and Eddie Rister. She is survived by her son Don and Kathy and their children Sherry (Derrick Mattson), Tyler and Taylor; Lisa (Jeff Hawkins) Reid and Carter; Michael (Sharla) Emma and Jack; daughter Darlene Price and her children James and Shayne, Amanda (Michael Laurent) John and William; son Garry and Fay and their children Brendon (Nicole) Harper, Holden, and Hope; Brodie (Robyn) Bryson, Brynn, and Bentley; Brooke (David Larson) Payton and Colby; son Glenn; daughter Sharon (Frank Stevens) and their children Tyson (Pasc) Jackson, and Braden.
