We, the brothers of the late Francis Black, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our family and friends for their support during our recent unexpected loss. Thank you to all those who phoned, visited us, sent food, Mass and sympathy cards or made memorial donations in Francis’s memory. To those who attended the wake and funeral, thank you. Also, thank you to Fr. Duaine Devereaux and the Lazarus Committee of Our Lady of Fatima Parish for their spiritual guidance, for the prayer service at the wake, and for the comforting Funeral Mass. Thank you to the readers, Francis MacDow and Karen Black and the touching music by Donnie Campbell. We are very grateful to Francis’s friends and neighbors for their friendship and concern during that difficult night. To his large circle of friends from the tarbish playing communities, Royal Canadian Legion Ashby Branch 138 and the Steelworkers and Sydney Pensioners Club, we want to extend our thanks. Finally, to Jill Nemis and S. W. Chant’s Funeral Home for their support, professionalism and the lovely lunch that followed the funeral service, we offer our thanks and appreciation.
