Loving husband, cherished father and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home in Mississauga, Ontario on February 14, 2017. Ray Kelly, formerly of Elliotvale and Crapaud, PEI, aged 95, was the husband of the late Mary Catherine (nee Chandler). Ray had a long career as a mechanic and then eased into retirement as a property manager. Ray was the loving father of Ron, Shirley, Debbie (Rick Sherman), Diane (Dave MacKinnon), Cathie, Mollie (Bob Stoddart) and Penny, all of Ontario; the beloved grandfather of Michael Kelly, Malcolm and Justin MacKinnon, Mackenzie, Jacob and Cassidy Stoddart, and Samantha Sherman. Ray is survived by his sister Mae Jackson, Charlottetown and sister-in-law Judy Kelly, PEI. In addition to his wife, Ray was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Jenny (nee Whalen), Elliotvale, his grandson Sean Kelly, his siblings James, Sister Mary Frances, Sister Patricia and Clement, and his brother-in-law Tom Jackson. Ray will be fondly remembered by his family and friends, who will miss his many stories, songs, card games and his wonderful sense of humour. There will be no visitation at this time. Funeral mass and interment along with visitation will be held in May 2017 at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Teresa’s, PEI.
