Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on February, 20, 2017 of Verna L. MacLauchlan of Charlottetown, and formerly of West Covehead, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Gideon MacLauchlan. Loving mother of Rhea (Carl) Doucette, Gail (Ted) Lomatski , Gloria (Scott) Hastie and John (Shauna) MacLauchlan. Grandma to Stephen (Stefanie), Mark (Allison), Cameron, Ross, Christopher, Candace and Kyle. Great-grandmother of Artem, Sashia, Mila and Anna. Sister-in-law of Joyce MacLauchlan, Marjorie MacLauchlan, Wanda Mallett, Marguerite Ellis and Joyce Skinner. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Hannah Turner, brothers Ivan (Kathleen), Orville (Lona) and Freddie (Jean) Turner, sisters-in-law Edith (Gregor) MacCallum, Beth (Bruce) Ellis, brothers-in-law Walter (Violet), Malcolm (Erma), Alvin, Leslie (Winnifred), Harry MacLauchlan, Walter Mallett, Ken Ellis and John Skinner. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment later in West Covehead United Church Cemetery.
