Passed suddenly away surrounded by his family on February 19, 2017, Darryl Gosine, age 35 years. Predeceased by father Dave Gosine; grandparents Kathleen and Harold Gosine, Babe and Albert Whalen; uncle Albert (Gladys) Whalen; also, baby brother Andrew Gosine. Leaving behind with broken hearts and beautiful memories, his mom Frances Gosine (Norman Jarvis), brother Derek Gosine, great-aunt Sadie Rockwell, uncle Gary (Debbie) Gosine, and Sandra (Larry) Dunne, aunt Ann Brazil, Andrea Gosine and her son Ethan, uncle Jack (Sarah) Whalen, Mary (Walter) Curnew, uncle Walt (Linda) Whalen, uncle Charlie (Ann) Whalen, uncle Frank (Rhonda) Whalen, uncle Les (Anna) Whalen, aunt Rose (Craig) Whelan, and aunt Tina (Craig) Thorne, a number of cousins and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Science Coronary Unit, especially nurse Kara, she was an angel in disguise. Also to uncle Gary Gosine, for he was an avenue of support to try to lead Darryl in the right direction and Dan McGettigan for support Darryl over 15 years. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, February 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A second visitation will take place at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island on Thursday, February 23 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday ,February 24 from St. Michael's RC Church on Bell Island at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Michael's R.C. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Darryl's family would like you pay it forward and provide a random act of kindness to your local people in need, Gathering Place or the Wiseman Center.
