June Smith, born and raised in Thetford Mines, and having lived on the Montreal west island for most of her life, passed away suddenly at the Lakeshore General in Pointe-Claire at the age of 75 years old. She was the beloved wife of late Lu Grundhofer Sr. and loving mother to son Lu Grundhofer Jr, now residing in England. She was an incredibly caring, and selfless person, and cared so much for her family and friends. A son could not ask for a more loving and supportive mother. She was the beloved sister of Irene Smith (Gaétan Nadeau) and Billy Smith (Françoise d'Allaire). She will be deeply missed, and always remembered. The messages of condolence and sympathy have been greatly appreciated, and so helpful in dealing with the loss of such a special woman. Never to be forgotten, rest in peace.
