COMEAU, Pauline Ann – age 89 of The Meadows Home for Special Care passed away peacefully at the Meadows on March 4, 2017. Born in Yarmouth on January 25, 1928 she was a daughter to the late Irving and Etta (Deveau) Melanson. Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was known to be kind, compassionate and the neighbourhood Mom with an open door policy for all. For most of her working career she was a talented seamstress. Known as a prankster she always knew how to make people laugh. In her spare time she LOVED to walk and earned the nickname “The Roadrunner”. She is survived by her loving children, Anne Nelson, Ontario; Sharon Corporon, Yarmouth; Myra LeBlanc, B.C.; Nancy Wesley, B.C.; Karen LeBlanc, Toronto; Wayne LeBlanc (Cheryl Phillips) ON; Jimmy LeBlanc, B.C.; brothers, Brian, Malcolm, Lester, Guy; sister, Louisa, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Sonny LeBlanc; sister, Evelyn; and brother, Burgess “Frenchy”. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A memorial service was held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Larry Pennell officiated. Private family Interment will take place in Salmon River Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Juniper House, or the Meadows Home for Special Care.
