WARD- Ervin Clifford – age 83 of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2017. Born in Yarmouth on May 18, 1933 he was a son to the late Vernon Parker Ward and Fannie Mae (Allen) Ward. Ervin was a member of the Temple United Baptist Church in Yarmouth and associate member of the Legion. He worked for 14 years as a farm labourer, 10 years as a auto mechanic at the Corporals Club, and also worked at Greenwood Air Base as a carpenters helper. In between other jobs he could be found working in the woods until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife Esther Mae (Fevens) Ward; daughters, Barbara Louise Ward, Aylesford; Carolyn Margaret MacCullough (Al), Dartmouth; Kathleen Marie Schmeisser (John), Dartmouth; step daughters, Heather Wilton, Janice d’Entremont, Ruth LeBlanc, Elizabeth Jacquard; stepsons, Brian Thompson and John Thompson; half brother, Robert Ward (Bobby), Halifax; half sister, Ruth Muise, Yarmouth; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many step grandchildren. Besides his parents Ervin was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Mae Spinney; brothers, Bernard and Lloyd; grandson, Jason MacCullough and granddaughter, Lori Ross. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel. A second evening of visitation was held at Serenity Lindsay Funeral Chapel in Berwick on March 22, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service took place March 23, 2017 at 2 P.M. from Serenity Lindsay Funeral Chapel in Berwick, Rev. Don Rafuse officiated. Interment will take place in Aylesford, N.S. Donations in memory may be made to the Temple Baptist Church, Yarmouth or the Canadian Cancer Society.
