1948 – 2017
It is with deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Bronald Chestolowski on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was born on Friday, July 23, 1948 to Mike and Mary Chestolowski at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his father, Mike Chestolowski; and his father-in-law, Bill Tenaschuk, along with numerous other family members. He is survived by his loving wife, Melva Chestolowski; his beloved mother, Mary Chestolowski; his children and their families, Richard (Kim) Chestolowski and their children, Kristopher and Kira; Steven (Robynn) Chestolowski and their children, Peyton, Spencer, Benjamin and Alexandrea; Donna (John) Coccimiglio and their children, Nickolas and Isabella; and Diane (Mike) Hankee and their children, Michael and Kazimiera; his brother, Ed (Gloria) Chestolowski; and his mother-in-law, Sophie Tenaschuk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bronald was both athletic and artistic. He started the family tradition of playing hockey with his younger brother Eddie, and later, he coached both his sons in the early years at Meath Park. As a musician, he played bass guitar in numerous bands over the years. He also enjoyed playing golf, especially with his family at the Candle Lake Golf Course. He started out his career in the trades as a plumber and pipefitter, and later discovered his passion for farming as he took over the family farm near Meath Park, Saskatchewan. Later on he decided he needed a change and went into the hotel business as owner and general manager of numerous different establishments over the years, before then returning back to trades. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time on the beaches of Candle Lake, where he also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, boating, riding jet skis and quadding with his grandchildren, and tubing with them behind the boat. His family and grandchildren were his pride and joy he loved spending time with his grandchildren at Candle Lake or travelling to be with them at various locations where they lived. He cherished watching their activities such as hockey games, other sports and various other activities. Bronald’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104 – 2301 Avenue C North, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 5Z5. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Colette Harnett, Funeral Director.
