Keith Craig

Keith Craig

Date de naissance : 21 janvier 1934

Date de décès : 29 mars 2017

Gordon Keith Craig was born in Henribourg, Saskatchewan, January 21, 1934, to Frank Craig and Rebecca Solomons. When Keith was still a baby, the family moved to the Creston area where they owned and operated a store, and where Keith's records for track and field stood for many years at Prince Charles Secondary.

Keith lived for over 50 years in Lillooet, BC, where he worked and raised his family. He was known for his love of jokes, for telling stories, for playing (and usually winning) crib, and for his endless optimism. Keith had a generous nature, and could often be found helping out elderly folks around town. During his long career, Keith helped build the tunnels in the Fraser Canyon, worked as a logger in the bush, as a firefighter for BC Forest Services, and as a millhand for Evans Forest Products. He and his wife, Louise also owned and operated the Lillooet-Cache Creek Stage Lines for many years.

Keith passed away quietly on March 29, 2017, at the age of 83 in Salmon Arm, where he resided for the past five years. Predeceased by Louise, his wife of 53 years, and brothers Lyle and Norman, Keith is survived by his daughters Nancy, Shannon, Tracey, and Colleen, and their families; his twin sister Sylvia, his extended family, and his many friends, who can take comfort in one of Keith's favorite sayings: "It's gonna be all right." No service, at Keith's request. Many thanks to the staff at Bastion Place and Pioneer Lodge for their compassionate care.
