GAVEL, Warren Robert – age 61 of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away peacefully on April 3, 2017. Born in Yarmouth on February 24, 1956 he was a son to the late Winston Leslie and Myrtle Marie (Churchill) Gavel. Warren worked for Rose Valley Trucking for over 29 years operating all types of heavy equipment and driving trucks. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Debra Lynn (Crosby) Gavel, Yarmouth; daughters, Lorra (Kenny Travis), Carleton; Jody Gavel (Alan Messenger) Yarmouth; Monica Doucette, Port Maitland; grandchildren, Samantha and Kendra Melanson, Yarmouth; sisters, Margaret Gavel (Terry Hazelton), Chegoggin; Janet (Garth) Wyman, South Ohio; Lois Crosby, Yarmouth; brother, Avery Gavel, Bridgewater. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister, Sylvia Louise Gavel. There was no visitation or memorial service by Warren’s request. A celebration of his life was held Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at the South Ohio Community Hall. Interment will take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in South Ohio.
