Age 58 years
Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on May 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, Violet Mary Power. Predeceased by her mother Mary Power (Drover) and her father Michael Power, brothers Jim Power and Michael Power Jr. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Jason (Tina), Kevin (Maryann), Edward (Stephanie) and daughter Eileen (Freddy). With great sadness "Lucy" left her life long partner Nelson Penney and his family behind. Also leaving to mourn her sister Mary (Rodney) and brothers Pete (Sherry), Syl (Lil), Ed (Marg), Kev (Tanya) and Bob (Isabell). Violet had six granddaughters Lexi, Kyra, Emma, Lacey, Katie and Dezire and five grandsons Gary, Coady, Justin, Koby and RJ who she loved dearly! Also a large circle of extended family and friends who will miss her. A special thank you to the staff of the Health Science Centre 4th floor team who took great care of her. Visitation will take place at Pendergast Funeral Home on Bell Island Thursday, May 4 from 12-4 pm (family only) and 6-9 pm (public) and Friday, May 5 from 12-4 pm (public) and 6-9 pm (public). Funeral will take place Saturday, May 6 at 11 am, Burial to follow at Roman Catholic Graveyard. Reception to follow at St. Michael's Church Hall. All are welcome!
