PAUL DOUGLAS MACDONALD

With great sadness our family announces the passing of Paul Douglas MacDonald, 47, at the home of his parents in Albert Bridge. Though he suffered for several years with cancer he did so quietly with determination and courage. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he is the son of Douglas and Margaret (Hagell) MacDonald.
Besides his parents he is survived by his beloved, Carole (Doucet) ,who lovingly cared for him; children, Davis, Danielle and Owen; brothers, Dean (Stephanie), Roy (Jennifer); sister, Lynn (Chris Mattina); sister-cousin, Colleen (Geoff Verner); and many nieces and nephews.
Paul is predeceased by his sister, Jaimie Marie, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Paul will be held today, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. in the Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
Funeral mass will be Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to our webpage at www.chantfuneralhome.ca.
