The death occurred peacefully with her family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday May 14th, 2017, of Gemma Marie Arsenault at the age of 81. She was the daughter of the late Emilien Arsenault and Gabrielle (Bérubé) Arsenault. She was a devoted wife to the late Billy Arsenault and loving mother to Jocelyne (Jacques) Lizotte, Dianne (Andre) Lavoie, Angèle (Georges) Daigle, Ivan (Shenanda) Arsenault, Desmond (Darlene) Arsenault, Michel Arsenault and Charlyne Arsenault. Gemma was a cherished grandmother to Jason and Jamie Lizotte, Jasmine and Alex Lavoie, Patrice, Daniel and Marc Daigle, Cory Arsenault and great-grandmother to Paisley, Eden, and Gwen Lizotte and Kalami, Tai, James and Matthew Daigle. She is also cherished by brother and sister: Marie Fernande (c.-n.-d.) Arsenault, Yvon Arsenault, Simon (Irène) Arsenault, Yvette (Burnell) McDonald. She was predeceased by her son David, granddaughter Jaclyn Lizotte, grandson Samuel Daigle as well as brothers Robert (late Géralda) Arsenault, Bertrand (Jeannita) Arsenault and Francine (late Gerald) Savoie, Lorraine (Oblate) Arsenault and Eva Cormier. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home in Urbainville until Wednesday, May 17, 2017, then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont-Carmel where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Renovation of the Mont Carmel Church or to a charity of your choice.
