It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Mary Frances Whelan of Bell Island, who passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the HSC on Thursday, May 18, 2017 age 74 years. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Larry Whalen, sister Anne Power, brothers Lar, Reg and Pat Whalen. Leaving to mourn her loving children Kathy (Tyrone), Jerry (Tammy), Lorraine (Dave), Ronnie (Jodi), Sonya (Wayne). Also leaving to mourn 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren including very special grandchild Sarah, sister Julia, brother-in-law Pete Power and special friends Gerald and Jean and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing to take place at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21 from 12-9 pm. Funeral to take place at St. Michaels Church on Bell Island at 2 pm on Monday, May 22, cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
