Passed peacefully away at Gander Hospital on May 24, 2017. He lived life to the fullest in his 101 year journey. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, especially on his beloved Terra Nova River. He enjoyed, just as much, talking about his exploits, especially the big ones that got away. His years of stomping the woods and waters ensured him a long and healthy life. Clarence had a career in education that took him many places in NL. He also volunteered with the Lions Club, the Retired Teachers Association and was a lay reader in the Anglican Church for 65 years. Predeceased by his wife Neatha; infant son Clarence; son Thomas (Buster); father Thomas; mother Clara; sister Olive and brother-in-law Ray White; sister Winnie Cowan and brother Anthony Marsh. Left to mourn are daughters Marguerite and Evelyn (Jeff); son Phil (Lyla); grandsons Andrew (Jennifer) and Jonathan (Theda); great-grandchildren Matthew Olson and Lauren and Ethan Riggs; sister-in-law Mildred Stroud; brother-in-law Herb Cowan; special caretaker Patricia Arnold and a large circle of relatives and friends.
