WESTVILLE - Aldrich Kenneth Hemphill, age 69, of Westville, formerly of Little Harbour, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007, in the Colchester Community Hospital, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Frederick and Elsie (Strickland) Hemphill. He grew up in Pictou Landing, later moving to Little Harbour, and then Westville. Aldrich had a passion for meeting people and enjoyed good conversation, which led him to a career in sales. He retired as a Life Insurance Agent with Prudential. He was very proud of being a member of the Masonic Lodge. Aldrich is survived by his sons: Kevin (Cindy), Salt Springs; Bruce, Westville; Mark (Jaqueline), Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren: Misty and Matt; Aaron and Kane; Alexis, Caleb and Cameron; sister, Jeanette Fraser (John), Merigomish; brother, Billy (Donna), Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Audrey Hemphill, Little Harbour; and former wife, Frances, Truro. He was predeceased by brother Edward "Teddy". Visitations will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from the Church of the Nazarene, Trenton, with Rev. Leon Teal officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.
