HALAHAN, JOSEPHINE AGNES MARIE Josephine Agnes Marie Halahan, (nee Hughes) died quietly at the Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton on January 30, 2003 at the age of 91. Jo was born in Fredericton, the daughter of the late Mr. Justice Peter J. Hughes and Katherine Hughes (nee Henebery) of Fredericton. Survived by one daughter, Patricia Hughes Griffin Malone of Victoria, BC, three grandchildren, Erin (Brian Fricker) of Fort McMurray, AB, Cary of Calgary, AB and Ryan of Vancouver, BC, aslo surviving are her sisters, Isabel Hoyt and Anna Warner of Fredericton, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband John Halahan of Fredericton predeceased her on April 9, 2002. Jo graduated from UNB in 1934 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was employed for a number of years with the Oromocto Development Corporation. A graveside service will be held at the Hermitage Cemetery, Friday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. Monsignor Brian Sheehan officiating. McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
