MATTHEWS, JOANE DIANNE The passing of Joane Dianne Matthews of Fredericton, NB occurred Thursday, September 2, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 63. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late James and Daisy (Edwards) Staples. Joane was actively involved in fundraising as well as being Co-ordinator for the Kidney Foundation. She was Protestant by faith. Survived by her five children, Debbie Bullock (Ken) of Upper Kingsclear; David Matthews (Valerie) and Robert Matthews (Tracey) of Fredericton, Deanna Nason (Kevin) of Tracy and Jason Matthews (Christa) of Kingsclear First Nation; nine grandchildren, Christine, Danielle, Daniel, Victoria, Ariana, Christopher, Joel, Charity and Kaela. Predeceased by her husband John B. Matthews, her parents and one sister Shirley. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Mike McDonald will officiate assisted by Father Richard Harris. Interment in the Rural Cemetery Extention.
