Ernest (Nin) Edgar Perry

AMHERST - Ernest (Nin) Edgar Perry age 86, of Amherst passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. with his family by his side. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Patrick and Eva (Fraser) Perry. Nin worked at Robb Engineering in Amherst for all his life, retiring as foreman. He loved working in his yard and was a sports enthusiast and had a passion for hockey. Nin also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boxing, baseball and fixing small engines. He was a very generous man who was there to give a helping hand whenever anybody needed it. Nin had a soft spot for animals and loved his dogs and cats and his budgie bird. He is survived by Marjorie of Amherst, daughters Jane (Danny) Perry and Carol (Dave) Hebb both of Amherst, Muriel (Vincent) Down and Joan (John) Bird both of Ontario and one son Stephen of Amherst, grandchildren Josh Perry, Stephen Amos, Betty Amon, Freddie St. Peter, Vicky (Mark) Dakus, Vincent (Carol) House, Anthony House, Lance (Bridgette) House, Kevin, Keith, Stephen Jr. and Jeff Perry, great grandchildren Stephanie Vernon, Riley St. Peter, Greg, Katie and Megan Dakus, sisters Patsy (Bill) McManaman of Amherst and Joyce (Raymond) Babineau of Moncton, brothers Jack (Olive), Lloyd, Hubert (Phyllis) and Garnet all of Amherst, George (Verna) of Moncton and manyn nieces and nephews. Nin is predeceased by his wife the former Florence Martin, brothers Norbert, Ed, Bob and Fred, grandchildren Danny Ernest Perry, Ricky Dennis Ripley and Stephen Patrick Perry. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Charles site of Holy Family Parish, Amherst on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Charles - Nativity Cemetery, Amherst. Arrangements entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. (667-9906).
