CAISSIE, CLAIRILDA M. - Surrounded by her devoted children, Clairilda Caissie, wife of the late Ovila Caissie, passed away peacefully at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday, January 10, 2008. She was born on April 15, 1926 in St. Wilfred, NB to the late Olivier and Elizabeth (Basque) Rousselle. Clairilda is survived by her children: Andrea Debow (Bill), Donald (Debbie), Norma Drew (Rheal Carrier) and Aurella Caissie all of Saint John, NB, Melinda Cook (Larry) of Quispamsis, NB and Edgar of Toronto, ON; son in-law, Stephen Martin of Saint John, NB; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers: Edmund (Leda), Normand (Geralda) and Ralph (Anne) Rousselle; two sisters: May Robichaud and Mary Ouellet (Marcel) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Martin, three brothers: Eldric, Amdee and Edgar Rousselle and two sisters: Lauza St. Coeur and Adelia Doucet. Clairilda was primarily a homemaker but also worked many years at NBTel as an office cleaner. She most enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time at their summer home in Neguac. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Friday from 2 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Pius X church on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 12 noon. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery following the mass.
