KERN, MARY LOUISE - The death of Mary Louise Kern, wife of the late Peter Kern, occurred on January 13, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Bertille (Sweeney) Dupuis. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and shopping. Surviving are her daughters, Susan Alderman (Harry), Carolyn Garvin (Bob) and Ann Kern, all of Saint John; grandchildren, Leslie, Jessica, Benjamin and Jacob; great-granddaughter, Madison; and her nieces and nephews. Her brother, William Dupuis predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 am, from St. John the Baptist Church, 54 Broad Street. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
