Elinor Amilda Snelgrove 1927-2003 GERMANTOWN, NB - Elinor Amilda Snelgrove, 75, of Germantown passed away suddenly on June 24,2003 at The Moncton Hospital. She was born in Albert, Albert Co.,NB on July 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McAnulty) Weir. She attended the Albert Baptist Church and belonged to the Friendship Senior Citizens Group. Elinor was a very special lady who loved the outdoors and often enjoyed fishing and gardening. Most of all she treasured time spent with her family and friends. Being the second oldest of fourteen children she had a special bond with her brothers and sisters. She was a very kind and caring person and always had a smile for everyone she met she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Chesley Snelgrove; daughter, Beverly Ann Hibnar of St. Joseph, Michigan; son, Jeffrey Snelgrove (Karen) of Tantallon, NS; three grandchildren, Michelle Hines, Vanessa Snelgrove and Brian Snelgrove all of Nova Scotia and her four great grandchildren; she will also be deeply missed by her four sisters, Dessie McAnulty of Ottawa, Marie Rossiter (Gordon) of Moncton, Margaret Elliott (Dale) of RiversideAlbert and Donna Hayward (Allan) of Saint John; five brothers, Carney Weir of Moncton, Howard Weir (Joan) of Shepody, Karl Weir of Oshawa, Douglas Weir (Linda) of Oshawa and Darrell Weir (Kathy) of Riverside-Albert; brother-in-law Eldon Butland of Riverview and sister-in-law, Carol Shannon of Beaverbrook; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Anne; two brothers, Garry Weir and Clinton Weir ( Mary) and by a sister, Juanita Butland. The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held the Albert Baptist Church, Albert on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 2pm with Rev. David Keith officiating. Internment will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
