Delilah Trenholm PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Delilah Trenholm, age 101, widow of Alton Trenholm, of Port Elgin, occurred at her home on Station Street. Born in Springhill, NS on July 29, 1902, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Hortense (Carter) Larsen. Delilah was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she enjoyed quilting and playing the piano, even after passing her 100th year. Delilah will be sadly missed by three sons, Donald (Doris), Robert (Linda), Florin "Dewey" (Lillian), all of Port Elgin, and a daughter, Helen (Stewart) Burke of Port Elgin; daughter-in-law, Florence of Port Elgin, 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton and son, Ralph. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300), with visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at 2 pm, Rev. Terrence Trites officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin.
