67, North Sydney It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Joan Kendall, a resident of Convent Street, North Sydney, on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Joan was a very kind and caring woman, who took pride in her role as wife and mother, and in caring for her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney. She is survived by her husband Russell; two daughters, Joan Marie, at home, and Florence, Halifax; four sons, Russell, Brantford, Ont., Harry James (Melissa), Coxheath, Gregory, at home, and Mark (Linda), North Sydney; three grandchildren, Haley, Brighton and Mitchell; four brothers, Stan Scott, Eddie Scott and Arthur Scott, all of Ontario, and Anthony Scott, Calgary. She was predeceased two brothers, Gordie Scott and Gerard Scott. There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will take place from the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK or a charity of choice.
