88, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Loretta Adams of Glace Bay, on Jan. 20, 2009, at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home, at the age of 88. Loretta was the daughter of the late John D. and Margaret (Moore) MacDonald. She was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glace Bay. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Carol (Bob) Landry, St. Albert, Alta.; sons, Eric (Gloria), Calgary, and Donald, Calgary; sister, Georgina MacDonald, Glace Bay. Loretta is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Eldon, brothers, Tommy, Melvin, Donald, James, Robert and Murdock, sisters, Catherine, Wilena and Rachel. Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520.
