The death of Farrell Wayne Smith of Gagetown, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, April 24th, 2010. Born in Burton, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Briggs) Smith and the husband of Barbara Briggs. Farrell was an avid hunter and the envy of his peers for his moose calls. He enjoyed spending time at the lake where you could always hear his special Stompin' Tom music being played. He loved playing darts at the Lion's Club and was known for always hitting the bull's eye. Survived by his wife Barbara; two daughters, Kim Smith (Jim Reader) of Upper Gagetown, Tanya London (Andy) of Burton; one grandson, Michael London; stepchildren, Cynthia Reid ( Phillip) of Calgary, AB and William Briggs (Angie) of Harvey, NB; step-grandchildren, Victoria and Riley Reid, Dirk, Myles and Cameron Briggs; his siblings, Sadie Miner (Cecil), Bird Palmer, Reid Smith (Barb), Sabra LaFrance (Eldon), Wendell Smith (Marie), Carol Burtt (Gordon), Russell Smith (Pat), Gail Hart (Bob), Sharon Gallup (Bob) Craig Smith (Vicki) and Michael Smith (Corie) and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Archdeacon John Sharpe will officiate.
