Gerard (Gerry) F. O'Connor
Suddenly at the Western Hospital Alberton on Thursday April 29, 2010 of Gerard F.(Gerry) O'Connor of 198 Poplar Street Alberton and formerly of Souris P.E.I age 60 years. Born in Charlottetown on Sept. 11, 1949 he was the son of the late Leonard and Rita (nee Gallant) O'Connor. Loving companion to Carol Barnett of Alberton. Father to Richard O'Connor and dear brother to Sandra (Joe) Gallant of Stratford P.E.I; Dolores(Philip) Steele of Montague P.E.I; Mike (Nancy) of Fortune; P.E.I Pat (Margie) of Souris West P.E.I; Steve (Sandra) of New Glasgow N.S; Terry (Heidi) of Germany; Sharon (Doyle) Hachey of Sackville N.B; Charlotte (Gerard) MacAulay of Hazel Grove P.E.I. He is also survived by a brother in law Roy Drake of Morell P.E.I as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Len and Rita (Gallant) O'Connor and by a sister Maureen Drake. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral on Monday Morning May 3,2010 from the Sacred Heart Church Alberton for funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
